Gretchen Whitmer signed legislation allowing trained employees of additional state and local government agencies to administer drugs that treat opioid overdoses. Davis currently serves as the executive director of Families Against Narcotics, a nonprofit, anti-drug organization she co-founded 11 years ago in Macomb County.

State Sen. Peter J. Lucido on Thursday bid farewell to intern Matthew Hutnick, a University of Detroit sophomore majoring in communications, who recently concluded his time working with the senator. Hutnick, who began his internship last January, spent the day shadowing Lucido, attending meetings and accompanying the senator on the Senate floor.
