Lucido welcomes TACOM Chief of Staff to Senate’s Memorial Day Service

LANSING, Mich. — Sen. Peter J. Lucido, R-Shelby Township, welcomed Army Col. Jeffrey Witt to the Senate’s 25th Annual Memorial Day Service on Thursday.

Witt serves as chief of staff to the U.S. Army Tank-automotive and Armaments Command (TACOM) Life Cycle Management Command, headquartered at Detroit Arsenal in Warren. He is responsible for the daily synchronization of the TACOM headquarters staff, providing policy, guidance, direction, and information in support of and between the TACOM Commanding General, TACOM subordinate commands, and Army Materiel Command.

Witt was accompanied by Jenny Downey, Army survivor outreach services coordinator, and Joseph Moscone, garrison manager of the Detroit Arsenal.

The senator was also privileged to visit with the recently retired commander of Selfridge Air National Guard base, Brigadier General Doug Slocum, following the ceremony.
