Lucido receives Economic Impact Award from Michigan Bankers Association

LANSING, Mich. — State Sen. Peter J. Lucido was recently presented with the Michigan Bankers Association (MBA) 2019 Economic Impact Award at the organization’s annual dinner.

The award recognizes public officials for outstanding leadership on matters of public policy that support and encourage a vibrant Michigan economy.

“I sincerely thank the Michigan Bankers Association, its leadership, and its members for honoring me with the 2019 Economic Impact Award,” said Lucido, R-Shelby Township. “One of the most important aspects of my job as state senator is helping our economy and our people to grow and prosper. And as a small business owner, I know firsthand how important a strong relationship with a bank is to achieve those goals. This award means a lot, and I will display it with pride.”

MBA President and CEO T. Rann Paynter praised Lucido in a press release announcing the award.

“The Michigan Bankers Association commends Senator Peter J. Lucido on his on-going efforts to create responsible public policy that is pragmatic and creates a more prosperous Michigan for all its citizens,” Paynter said. “Senator Lucido understands the business of banking and how to best deliver policies that enable banks to serve their customers and communities.”
